Sara was born and raised in Wisconsin, where she never really fit in. She earned a BA in Communications/Theatre Arts and History from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and her MFA from the Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. From there, she moved to New York City where—while she can't say she couldn't get arrested—she couldn't nail a job unless it was pouring Guinness at an Irish pub in Manhattan. As a founding member of Our Bar, a sketch comedy show set in a local pub, she served as a writer and performer.

After four years of being overstimulated, she decided to move to the DC area and has never looked back. She discovered role-playing work training federal law enforcement officers, which introduced her to Standardized Patient work at local medical schools. Shortly after starting, she trained as a Physical Exam Teaching Associate (PETA) and Genitourinary Teaching Associate (GUTA). She loves teaching the next generation of healthcare providers, specifically focusing on trauma-informed care and women's health. She currently works with the United States Capitol Police, University of Maryland–Baltimore, Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University, and The George Washington University.

She lives with her family, which includes Leia the dog; Hans, the 20-year-old deaf cat who doesn't know how loud he is; Arwen, a long-haired tuxedo cat who is the clear alpha; Gandalf, the fat gray cat who isn't too smart; Gally, the Siamese cat who hates Sara (unless she's eating something); and Bumper, the short-haired tuxedo cat who likes to bump into you. If she lived in a bigger house, she would have even more—though her domestic partner has strictly forbidden any new additions.

Gina Nicole Brown is an actor, clinical educator, and civic leader whose work sits at the intersection of performance, healthcare education, and community advocacy.

As a Clinical Skills Teaching Associate and Standardized Patient for top medical institutions—including Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, George Washington University, and MedStar—Gina provides hands-on instruction in genito-urinary and full-body examination techniques. She specializes in trauma-informed care education, helping future clinicians build empathy and real-world clinical confidence.

Her clinical work is powered by a rich performance background. A finalist in Sherri’s Funny Over 50, Gina appeared in the Netflix docuseries The Principles of Pleasure and has performed in national commercials, theater, and film. Prior to health education and acting, she spent 30 years in corporate and nonprofit marketing leadership, and authored Teeth Should Not Be Optional: Random Thoughts from an Insomniac.

 A committed community advocate, Gina serves on the Silver Spring Town Center, Inc. Board, previously served as Vice-Chair Commissioner on the Montgomery County Commission on Children and Youth, and has supported fair and accessible elections as an Election Judge since 2016. She holds a B.A. from American University and an MBA from The George Washington University.
