Sara was born and raised in Wisconsin where she never really fit in. She earned a BA in Communications/Theatre Arts and History form University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. She earned her MFA from Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory for Acting. From there, she moved to New York City where she can't necessarily say she couldn't get arrested, but she couldn't nail a job unless it was an Irish Pub in Manhattan pouring Guinness. As a founding member of Our Bar, a sketch comedy show which takes place in a bar, she was a writer and performer. 

After 4 years of being over stimulated, she decided to move to the DC area and has never looked back. She discovered a job called Role Playing where you play a role for the purpose of training federal law enforcement. From there, she was introduced to Standardized Patient work at local medical schools. Shortly after starting, she was trained to become a Physical Exam Teaching Associate or a PETA, and GuTA work. She loves teaching the next generation of providers, specifically trauma informed care and women's health. She currently works with the United States Capitol Police, University of Maryland-Baltimore, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown University and The George Washington University. 

She lives with her family which includes Leia the dog, Hans, the 20 year old deaf cat who doesn't know how loud he is, Arwen, a log haired tuxedo cat who is the clear alpha, Gandalf, the fat gray cat who isn't too smart, Gally, the Siamese cat who hates Sara, unless she's eating something, and Bumper, the short hair tuxedo cat who likes to bump into you.  If she lived in a bigger house, she would have more. Oh...also, she lives with her domestic partner who told her she's not allowed to bring any more pets home. 

Gina Nicole Brown is an actor, educator, and civic leader whose work blends

performance, clinical training, and community engagement. She is a highly sought-after

Clinical Skills Teaching Associate and Standardized Patient, working across Johns

Hopkins University, Georgetown University, The George Washington University, the

University of Maryland Baltimore, MedStar, Towson University, and a number of other

schools and organizations. When teaching, she provides hands-on instruction in genito-urinary and full-body examination techniques—including abdominal, cardiovascular,

pulmonary, neurological, and musculoskeletal assessments.

Her work helps future clinicians translate textbook knowledge into real-world

competence, preparing them to interact with patients thoughtfully, respectfully, and

effectively. Gina is recognized for portraying clinical cases with sincere nuance,

delivering structured learner feedback, and collaborating with faculty to refine curriculum and training modules.

Gina’s clinical training expertise is strengthened by her extensive performance

background. She captured national attention as a finalist in “Sherri’s Funny Over 50,”

appeared in the Netflix docuseries The Principles of Pleasure, and has performed in

national commercials, print campaigns, and original theater and film projects. Her acting

work—rooted in genuine depth, improvisation, and character study—directly enhances

her presence and effectiveness as a clinical educator.

Before transitioning into health education and the arts, Gina spent 30 years in corporate

and nonprofit marketing leadership, developing high-impact campaigns and creative

content. She is also the author of Teeth Should Not Be Optional: Random Thoughts

from an Insomniac.

A committed community advocate, Gina serves on the Silver Spring Town Center, Inc.

Board, previously served as Vice-Chair Commissioner on the Montgomery County

Commission on Children and Youth, and has supported fair and accessible elections as

an Election Judge since 2016. She holds a B.A. from American University and an MBA

from The George Washington University.
